1. Brief introduction of hot pressing process
Hot pressing is a common process in the production of silica gel products, which mainly uses high temperature and pressure to convert solid silica gel raw materials into the desired shape. The process is complex and requires precise control of parameters such as temperature, pressure and time to ensure product quality and performance.
2. Hot pressing process
Raw material preparation: Select the appropriate silica gel raw material, usually milky white block. According to product requirements, add curing agent (ripening agent) and other additives, such as master color, luminous powder, phosphor, etc.
Rubber mixing: Put the prepared raw materials and additives into the rubber mixing machine, usually the rubber mixing time is about 30 minutes. This step ensures an even mixture of raw materials and additives.
Cutting material: The mixed silica gel raw material is cut to the required size to facilitate subsequent hot pressing.
Wake up: Put the cut silica gel raw material on the wake up rack for a period of time, usually about 8 hours. This step helps the air bubbles in the raw material escape and ensures the compactness of the finished product.
Hot press forming:
Put the awakened silica gel raw material into the mold of the hot press vulcanizer.
Heat the mold to a set temperature, usually between 130°C and 160°C.
Pressure is applied to fill the mold cavity with silica gel.
Maintain a certain pressure holding time, so that the silica gel is fully vulcanized.
Vulcanization: At the same time of hot pressing, the silica gel raw material will be vulcanized to form a stable rubber-like substance.
Inspection: The silicone products after molding need to carry out strict quality inspection, including inspection of appearance, size, performance and so on.
Edge removal: the qualified product is removed from the mold, and the excess raw edge and residual material are removed.
Post-treatment: According to product requirements, surface oil injection, printing, engraving and other subsequent processing.
Final inspection: The final inspection of all post-processed products is carried out to ensure that each product meets the quality standards.
Packaging: The qualified products are packaged and ready for shipment.
