Recently, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly announced the Catalogue of Prohibited Import Goods (Seventh Batch) and the Catalogue of Prohibited Export Goods (Sixth Batch), which will be implemented on January 1, 2021.

Import and export of 35 chemicals such as chlordane, mercury-containing disinfectants, mirex and pentachlorobenzene are prohibited.

On October 27, 2017, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer released the list of carcinogens, Chlordane is a category 2 carcinogen

It is reported that the publication of this list is to implement the "Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants" and the "Minamata Convention on Mercury."
