Installation
1) Pull-in
These are the most common and are perfect for hand assembly. To install a long tail through the center hole of the valve seat, pull it out, and then pop the valve into place
2) Push-in
These types are preferred when it is difficult to place a long tail in the center hole. For example, deep inside the bottom of a cylinder. Or when the upstream side of the valve is not accessible. For example, when placing the valve on a tank wall that cannot reach the inside of the tank. This type can also be used for automatic assembly.
3) Belleville type
The name speaks for itself, and the shape of the membrane looks like a Belleville spring washer, fixed by an elastic hinge in the middle. That's it! Usually, once a predetermined pressure is reached, the valve will suddenly open suddenly. This is very different from an umbrella valve with an inverted stem, which is more restrictive.
The central valve stem is located downstream of the valve and is held in place by a retainer. The holder may be a separate part or an integral part of the device, wherein the holder is integrated therein, such as a cap or cover above the umbrella valve. This valve seat has only one flow hole and is therefore easier to manufacture.
Check valves are used to control the direction of fluid flow. Designs can include umbrella valves, duckbill valves, Belleville valves and diaphragm valves.
