EPDM Bellows & Rubber Bellows, also known as EPR Bellows and ethylene propylene Bellows, are designed as a cover or expansion bellows to take over axial, lateral and angular movements in pipeline systems and protect components against alkalis, strong alkaline, detergent, hot water, steam, ozone, etc.
 
EPDM Rubber Bellows and dust boots have wide sealing applications due to these excellent chemical resistance properties and its superior ozone resistance.
 
EPDM Bellows are usually produced by silicone rubber compression molding, extrusion moulding or rubber injection & transfer moulding.

EPM/EPDM: Polymer of ethylene and propylene, generally divided into binary ethylene-propylene rubber and EPDM.It is characterized by excellent resistance to ozone, ULTRAVIOLET, weather and aging, ranking first in general rubber.Good electrical insulation, chemical resistance, impact elasticity, acid and alkali resistance, low specific gravity, high filling fit.
Heat resistant up to 150℃ , resistant to polar solvents such as ketones and esters, but not resistant to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, other physical and mechanical properties slightly inferior to natural rubber and better than styrene butadiene rubber.The disadvantage is that self - viscosity and mutual viscosity is very poor, not easy adhesion.
Operating temperature range: about -50~+150 ℃.It is mainly used for lining of chemical equipment, covering of wire and cable, steam hose, heat-resistant transport belt, rubber products for automobile and other industrial products.

EPDM Bellows Disadvantages:


1. Slow curing rate
2. Poor self-adhension and mutual viscosity
3. Poor processability: difficult to blend with other unsaturated rubbers
4. Not recommanded for petroleum oils, mineral oil, die-ester lubricants or fuel exposure
